Reading
Reading the feed
The Feed tab shows TabNews posts in the same order as the website, so switching between the app and the site feels familiar.
Relevant and Recent
Choose the order from the menu in the toolbar. Relevant is the front page of the website, ranked by TabNews. Recent shows every new post as it's published. Tably remembers your choice.
Relevant only holds posts that earned tabcoins in the last few days, so it has an end. When you get there, See Recent takes you to everything else.
What a row tells you
- The author and how long ago the post went up
- The title, in up to three lines
- The domain of the source, when the post links to one
- Its tabcoins and its number of comments
Sponsored content from TabNews carries a Sponsored label.
Refreshing
Pull down to refresh. On Mac, press ⌘R or choose View › Refresh. Coming back to Tably after 10 minutes refreshes the feed too, and more posts load as you scroll.
Row actions
Touch and hold a row, or Control-click it on Mac, to like the post, save it with Tably Pro, hide it or block its author.
TabNews or your sources
The title menu at the top of the Feed switches between TabNews and your RSS and Atom sources. See Sources.
Without a connection
Offline, the feed comes from the copy saved on your device, with a note saying when it was last updated. Posts you've already opened open from that copy too.
