Your Tably
Translation
TabNews writes mostly in Portuguese. Tably translates posts and comments into your language with Apple's Translation, right on your device.
Translating a post
When a post is in a language other than the app's, Translate appears in its header. Tap it and the post is translated in place, in the same reader. A chip says which language it came from, and See Original brings the original back.
Translating a comment
Touch and hold a comment and choose Translate. Comments are translated one at a time, when you ask.
What gets translated
Paragraphs, headings, list items, quotes and table cells. Code, link addresses and usernames stay as they are. Bold or italic words inside a sentence are translated with the sentence, so the translation loses that emphasis; the original is one tap away.
Private and free
Translation runs on your device, with no account, no key and no cost, and the text never leaves it. The first time you translate into a language, the system may ask to download it. Translations last while the post is open and aren't saved.
Where it works
On iPhone, iPad and Mac. Apple's Translation isn't available on Apple TV and Apple Vision Pro, so the button doesn't show up there.
If it can't translate
Some language pairs aren't supported. Tably then says it couldn't translate the post, with Try Again.
