Account and sign in

Signing in

Go to Settings and tap Sign In. Tably also asks when you first try to rate, comment or publish, and carries on with what you were doing once you're in.

Your TabNews session is kept in the Keychain of your device. It never goes to iCloud or to any server of ours.

Creating an account

Tap Create Account and choose a username (letters and numbers, 3 to 30 characters), your email and a password of at least 8 characters. TabNews emails you an activation link that's valid for 15 minutes.

Tably can't open links from TabNews emails by itself, so copy the link from the email and paste it in Tably. If you open it in the browser instead, finish there and then sign in.

Forgot your password

Tap Forgot Password?, enter your email and paste the link TabNews sends you. A new password signs you out on every other device, as on the website, and Tably signs you back in on this one.

Editing your profile

Open your account card in Settings and choose Edit Profile to change your username, your bio (Markdown, up to 5,000 characters), your email and whether TabNews emails you when someone replies. A new email address is confirmed with a link, just like activation.

The TabNews terms

The first time you rate, comment or publish, Tably shows the TabNews terms of use. TabNews has zero tolerance for abusive content, and when you take part you follow its terms. You agree once on each device.

Signing out

Sign Out, in Settings, ends the session on this device. Your Library, drafts and settings stay.

Deleting your TabNews account

TabNews doesn't let apps delete accounts. Delete Account, in Settings, opens an email to the TabNews team at contato@tabnews.com.br, who delete the account and its content.

When the session ends

If TabNews ends your session, for example after a password change on another device, Tably lets you know and keeps working as a visitor until you sign in again.
