Tably is a reader for TabNews. We don't collect any data about you: there's no Tably account, no server of ours, no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
What stays on your device
Your Library (posts you liked, read and rated, and your daily balance), your drafts, hidden posts, blocked people, filters, list of sources, settings and a cache of what you've opened are stored on your device. Your TabNews session is kept in the Keychain and never leaves the device, except to your Apple TV when you sign in there with your iPhone.
Where Tably connects
These are all the connections Tably makes, what each one receives and what it never receives.
- TabNews (tabnews.com.br): to read the feed, posts, comments and profiles, and, when you're signed in, to rate, comment, publish, edit, delete and edit your profile with your own TabNews session. TabNews receives what it would receive from its website. It never receives your Library, hidden posts, blocks or filters. The TabNews terms and privacy policy apply to your account and what you publish.
- Images in posts and articles: loaded from the sites where their authors host them. Like any web request, those sites see your IP address.
- RSS and Atom feeds you add: fetched directly from each publisher. To find a feed, Tably reads the page whose address you pasted. An OPML file you import is read on your device.
- Saved posts (Tably Pro): the post, its comments and its images are downloaded from TabNews and from the sites hosting the images, over HTTPS only.
- Your private iCloud (Apple): with Tably Pro, your Library, sources, saved posts, hidden posts, blocks, filters and the voices you create (each with its short recording) sync between your devices through your own private iCloud database, which we can't read. With or without Pro, Tably also keeps there which in-app tips you've already seen.
- The public iCloud database (Apple): when it opens, Tably reads feature flags and the minimum supported version from a public database. It only reads; nothing about you is sent.
- App Store (Apple): Apple handles purchases and subscriptions. We never see your payment details.
- Translation (Apple): translation runs on your device and the text never leaves it. The system may download a language the first time you use it.
- Apple TV sign-in: after you confirm on your iPhone, your TabNews session goes to your Apple TV over an encrypted local connection, never through a server of ours.
- Listen (coming soon, Tably Pro): only when you turn on Listen and pick a voice, Tably downloads that voice's model files from FluidAudio's public repository on Hugging Face. It only downloads: nothing is uploaded there. Posts are read aloud on your device, and a voice you create from your own recording stays on your device, or in your private iCloud with Tably Pro.
This website
This website sets no cookies and has no analytics. Like any web server, ours keeps access logs (IP address, browser and the page requested) for up to 30 days, only for security and to keep the site running.
What we never do
Tably has no ads, no analytics, no tracking across apps or websites, and no third-party SDKs that collect data. We don't sell or share anything about you, because we don't have it.
Your TabNews account
What you publish on TabNews is public. TabNews doesn't let apps delete accounts: Delete Account, in Settings, opens an email to the TabNews team at contato@tabnews.com.br, who delete the account and its content.
Changes
Before any new feature that talks to the network reaches the App Store, it's added to this page, and the date above changes.
